Jim Baer is an entrepreneur, President of CMBG Advisors, and host of The Puck. He has spent his career at the intersection of business, finance, and big ideas—advising on some of the largest restructurings and M&A transactions in the country.

The founding of CMBG Advisors was a deliberate bet: that a boutique firm built around deep relationships and genuine expertise could outperform larger, more bureaucratic competitors. That bet has proven correct.

The Puck grew out of frustration with the podcasting landscape—too insular, too superficial. Jim wanted something that treated its audience as intelligent adults: honest, unfiltered conversations on markets, technology, geopolitics, economics, institutions, culture, and where the country is going.
